The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Public Administration & Local Government include the following:
Five (5) SSCE credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and two (2) other relevant subjects.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Economics and any other Social Science subject
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
UNN requires Government/History plus two (2) other subjects from social sciences or Arts.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Public Administration and Local Government if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes, including Economics.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
UNN accepts for three (3) year program Direct Entry candidates to possess any of the following qualifications:
- Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes or is equivalent in any of the following subjects: Government, History, Economics, Business Management, Accounting, and Geography plus the UTME requirements.
- ND from recognized institutions in Law, Secretarial studies, or its equivalent plus the UTME requirements.
- HND lowers the credit of recognized institutions, plus the UTME requirements.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNN for the 2023/2024 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a minimum of 160 or above score in your JAMB result.
