UNN Department of Physics/Astrology Admission Requirement 2022/2023

This is to notify the general public and all aspiring students of the University of Nigeria (UNN) that the Department of Physics/Astrology admission requirements has been published.

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Physics/Astrology include the following:

Five (5) SSCE credit passes in English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and any other Science subject from Further Mathematics and Biology or Agricultural Science.

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

UNN accepts the following;

  • Five ‘O’ level Credit passes in Physics, Mathematics, and English Language as well as two (2) other credit passes from Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Biology, further mathematics, statistics, Technical drawing, and Geography at SSCE/GCE/NECO or its equivalent.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.

  • English Language
  • Physics
  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Physic /Astrology if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

  • NCE/Two ‘A’ level passes in Physics and Mathematics or Chemistry.

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

UNN accepts:

  • NCE Physics or ND or HND in Physics or Engineering.
  • Two A’ level passes in Physics and Mathematics plus UTME requirements in both cases.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNN for the 2022/2023 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a score of a minimum of 160 or above in your JAMB result.
