UNN Department of Electrical Engineering Admission Requirement 2022/2023

This article is designed to help students who wish to study Electrical Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology at the University of  Nigeria  Nsukka.

It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered at UNN  to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

The University of Nigeria was the first full-fledged indigenous and first autonomous university in Nigeria modeled upon the American educational system. It is the first land-grant university in Africa and one of the five most reputed universities in Nigeria.

The university has 15 Faculties and 102 academic departments. The University offers 82 undergraduate programs and 211 postgraduate programs.

The university celebrated its 50th anniversary on October 2010

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Electrical Engineering; You require;

Five SSCE credit passes including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English Language.

 Jamb Subject Combination

In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Electrical Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology in the above Universities include;

Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Electrical Engineering if you don’t intend to use UTME.

You require;

  • ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and Physics.
  • ND/HND in Elect Eng. Upper/Lower credit respectively.

Jamb Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into NDA for the 2022/2023 session, should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a score of a minimum of  200 or above in your JAMB result.
