UNN Department of Education and Social Science Admission Requirement 2022/2023

This article is designed to help students who wish to study Education and Social Science under the Faculty of Education at the University of  Nigeria  Nsukka.

It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered at UNN  to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

The university celebrated its 50th anniversary on October 2010

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Education and Social Science; You require;

Five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes or equivalent to include English Language and Mathematics.

Jamb Subject Combination

In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Education and Social Science under the Faculty of Education in the above Universities include;

Any three Social Science Subjects.

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

UNN:

  • For Education/Geography: English Language, Geography, plus any other two (2) subjects
  • For Education/Economics: English Language, Mathematics, Economics plus any other Social Science subject.
  • For Education/Political Science: English Language, Government, plus any other two subjects.
  • For Education/Social Studies: English Language, plus any other three Social Science/Arts subjects

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Education and Social Science if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

  • NCE in two relevant subjects.
  • Two ‘A’ level passes in relevant subjects.

Jamb Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into NDA for the 2022/2023 session, should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have score a minimum of  200 or above in your JAMB result.
