This article is designed to help students who wish to study Agricultural Economics under the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Nigeria Nsukka.
It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered at UNN to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Agricultural Economics; You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, and one in Geography, Physics, and Economics.
Jamb Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Agricultural Economics under the Faculty of Agriculture in the above Universities include;
Chemistry, Biology/ Agricultural Science, and Mathematics or Physics.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Agricultural Economics if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and one in Zoology/Botany/Agricultural Science/Biology, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Geology, Economics, and Health Science.
Special Requirement (Waiver) Remarks
UNN accept
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry and any of Biology/Botany/Zoology/Agricultural Science. Economics, Physics Geography/Geology, and Mathematics (Pure & Applied) in addition to the UTME requirements.
- ND/NCE/HND and Degree in Agricultural Science/Animal Health and related programs with a minimum of lower credit/merit in addition to UTME requirements.
- Two (2) `A’ level passes in Chemistry and one in Zoology/ Botany/ Agricultural Science/ Biology, Mathematics, Physics, or Economics.
- HND/ND in Agriculture obtained at upper credit level from a recognized Institution.
Jamb Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into NDA for the 2022/2023 session, should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have score a minimum of 200 or above in your JAMB result.
