IRTS Scholarship
International candidates are given International Research Tuition Scholarships (IRTS) based on academic performance and demonstrated research abilities.
They will be supported during their degree by a full living stipend supported by external funding.
Eligibility
In addition to meeting UniSA’s eligibility criteria, applicants must be:
- Commencing international research degree students
- High quality with demonstrated research capability
- Supported by a strong supervisory panel(with an end-user adviser on the supervisory panel, where appropriate), and be enrolled in a research-rich environment
- Receive (or be awarded) a fully externally funded scholarship or a living stipend supported by external funding.
Scholarship Value
The IRTS will cover the international tuition charge for a research master’s student for two years and the international tuition fee for a Ph.D. student for three years (with an optional six-month extension).
- The scholarship does not cover foreign health insurance, so the applicants must ensure they have a family- and visa-length overseas health insurance.
UP Scholarship
Academic merit is taken into consideration when awarding University President’s Scholarships.
A UPS covers tuition expenses and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). The University of South Australia center, school, or division where an applicant has applied must offer a living allowance.
Benefits and conditions may vary depending on where the living allowance comes from; every offer will specify the benefits and conditions that apply.
The benefits and conditions are based on those that apply to the RTPi scholarship. The scholarship does not cover travel costs.
Eligibility
- You must have a University of South Australia supervisor willing to nominate you for consideration and outstanding academic records.
- You must be a citizen of an overseas country eligible for entry to Australia for the time required to complete the research degree.
- UPS are nearly always given to doctorate by research candidates but can be given to masters by research candidates in some cases. These scholarships can only be taken at this university.
