The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

O’level Subject Combinations
Candidates who wish to study Music at the University Of Ibadan (UI) must possess Five ‘O’ level subjects at one sitting or 6 ‘O’ level subjects in two sittings, including English Language and any other four or five subjects from Arts, Science or Social Sciences.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
English Language, Music and any other two subjects from Arts, Science or Social Sciences.
UI JAMB Cut-Off Mark
Generally, For any candidate to be admitted into the University Of Ibadan (UI) for any course at all, the candidate must score 200 and above in jamb. That is to say that the University Of Ibadan (UI) JAMB Cut-Off mark is 200.
UI Department Of Music Departmental Cut-Off Mark
The UI Department of Music Departmental Cut Off Mark is 200. That is to say that, Candidates who seek admission to the University Of Ibadan (UI) Department of Music must score 200 and above in the school UTME Screening exercise.
