The Senate of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO) takes immense pleasure in informing all its graduands, their parents, guardians and the wider public about the upcoming 26th, 27th, and 28th combined Convocation Ceremony.
This monumental event will celebrate students’ academic achievements across various sessions—2017/2018, 2018/2019, and 2019/2020. Here are all the essential details you need to know about this significant occasion.
Event Schedule
The Convocation Ceremony will commence on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, and conclude on Saturday, November 11, 2023. During this period, the University will confer Honorary Degrees, Higher Degrees, and First Degrees and present Diplomas, Certificates and various Prizes to its deserving graduates.
Financial Obligations for Graduands
First Degree, Diploma and Certificate Graduands
First Degree, Diploma and Certificate students are expected to pay a fee of N15,000.00. If the payment is made between September and October 6, 2023, However, any payments received from October 9, 2023, onwards will incur a fee of N20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Naira).
Master’s Degree and Postgraduate Diploma Graduands
For Master’s Degree and Postgraduate Diploma students, the fee is N20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Naira) if paid between September and October 6, 2023.
Those who pay from October 9, 2023, must pay N25,000.00 (Twenty-five Thousand Naira).
Ph.D. Graduands
Ph.D. Graduands are expected to pay N100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Naira), which covers the academic gown and cap cost.
Collection of Academic Gowns and Guest Invitations
Each graduating student is to collect his or her academic gown and a guest invitation card from the respective Faculty Officers or the Secretary of the Postgraduate School.
Alumni Association Fee
It’s pertinent to note that graduates who haven’t paid the Alumni Association fee of N3,000.00 (Three Thousand Naira) are advised to do so promptly.
List of Graduands
The University will publish the list of all graduates on its official website, www.uniuyo.edu.ng, for verification.
How to Make Payments
Mode of Payment:Â All requisite payments should be made online via the University’s e-portal. Once there, select the ebursaryCollect Link and follow the provided instructions.
Upon completion, you’ll be redirected to complete the payment via the Remita platform.
