The UNIPORT Orientation programme is one of the university’s traditional activities to welcome freshers and inform them of what goes around in the School.

The University of Port Harcourt freshers’ orientation program has been scheduled to hold as follows:
Day 1 – Monday, January 10, 2023, at J.F. Ade. Ajayi Auditorium and Jelili Adebisi Omotola Hall – Campus Tour & Interactive Session
Day 2 – Tuesday, January 11, 2023, at Jelili Adebisi Omotola Hall and University Main Library – Interactive Session & Tour of the University Main Library
Day 3 – Wednesday, January 12, 2023 – Interactive session at Jelili Adebisi Omotola Hall
Day 4 – Thursday, January 13, 2023 – Entertainment (Talent Hunt/Dance competition/Singing competition, etc.) – Mr and Miss JAMBITE at J. F. Ade. Ajayi Auditorium

Day 5 – Friday, January 14, 2022, at J.F. Ade. Ajayi Auditorium and UNIPORT Mosque
- At 9:00 a.m., at Grand Finale: There will be Breakfast with Principal Officers of the University.
- Matriculation Ceremony is at 11.00 a.m.
- Special Jumat Service for Muslim freshers at the University of Port Harcourt Mosque at 1.00 p.m.
Day 6 – Sunday, January 16, 2023 –Special Worship Service for Christian freshers at the University of Port Harcourt Chapel (Chapel of Christ Our Light)
The Vice-Chancellor has declared Monday, January 10 to Sunday, January 16 2023 lecture-free week for fresh students ONLY to enable them to attend and participate in the Orientation Programme. It is mandatory for all freshers; attendance will be taken.
