UNIMAID Department of Private and Islamic Law Admission Requirement

This article is designed to help students who wish to study Private and Islamic Law under the Faculty of Law in The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) as it is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in (UNIMAID) to  carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) is a Federal higher institution located in Maiduguri, the capital city of Borno State in northeast Nigeria. The university was created by the federal government of Nigeria in 1975, with the intention of its becoming one of the country’s principal higher-education institutions.

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Private and Islamic Law;

You require; Five ‘O’ level credit passes in Arts or Social Sciences to include English Language and Islamic Studies or Arabic.

In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Private and Islamic Law under the Faculty of Law in the above Universities include;

Any three Arts or Social Science subjects including Arabic or Islamic Studies
1. Any two Arts or Social Science subjects including Literature in English


These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Private and Islamic Law, if you don’t intend to use UTME.

You require; Two ‘A’ level passes to include Islamic Studies or Arabic.

All candidates interested in getting admitted into (UNIMAID for the 2019/2020 session, should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have score a minimum of  160 and above in your JAMB result.
