This is to notify the general public and all aspiring students of the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) that the Department of Physics admission requirements has been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Physics include Five SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:
English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and any other Science subject from Further Mathematics, Biology, or Agricultural Science.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry or Biology
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Physics if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- NCE/Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Physics and Mathematics or Chemistry.
