UNIMAID Department of Agriculture & Management Engineering Admission Requirement 2022/2023

This is to notify the general public and all aspiring students of the University of Maiduguri, (UNIMAID) that the Department of Agriculture & Management Engineering admission requirements has been published.

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Agricultural & Management Engineering include Five SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:

  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry and any from Introduction to Agricultural Science or Materials & Workshop Process and Machining
  • Tractor Layout Power Unit Under Carriage and Auto Electricity
  • Transmission System
  • Implement and Machine
  • Principles of Crop Husbandry and Land Use
  • Materials and Workshop Processes
  • Construction and Maintenance of Agricultural Machines
  • General Metal Work
  • General Wood Work
  • Building/Engineering Drawing

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

UNIMAID requires Five ‘O’ Level credits to include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and any one credit from among Biology, Geography, Agric. Sci, Further Mathematics, or Technical Drawing at not more than two sittings.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Chemistry
  • Physics

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Agricultural & Management Engineering if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

A’ level passes or equivalent in Physics and Mathematics.

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

UNIMAID requires a minimum of Lower Credit in National Diploma and Merit or nine points in IJMB.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIMAID for the 2022/2023 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a score of a minimum of 160 or above in your JAMB result.
