In this article we are going to be listing the necessary requirements candidates must meet to study Igbo in the Lagos State University ranging from O’level subject combination, JAMB Score and Post UTME Score and departmental cut-Off mark.
To study Igbo, candidates must meet the following requirements.
UTME REQUIREMENT FOR IGBO
Below is the UTME Requirement for IGBO in faculty of Arts and Humanities
- Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Igbo, English Language and any other Arts subject.
Please note that the UTME requirement above is same for courses like; Linguistics and African Languages, Igbo/Linguistics, African/Asian Studies, Linguisitcs,Igbo/ and Other African languages.
JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION FOR IGBO
Below is the UTME/JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION for IGBO in faculty of Arts and Humanities.
- English Language(*), Igbo and two (2) subjects from Arts and social Sciences.
Please note that the JAMB subject combination above is same for courses like; Linguistics and African Languages, Igbo/Linguistics, African/Asian Studies, Linguisitcs,Igbo/ and Other African language.
DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR IGBO
Below is the Direct Entry (DE) Requirement for IGBO in faculty of Arts and Humanities.
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in Igbo and one (2)Arts/Social Sciences subject.
- NCE in Igbo and one Arts subject.
Please note that the Direct Entry requirement above is same for courses like; Linguistics and African Languages, Igbo/Linguistics, African/Asian Studies, Linguisitcs,Igbo/ and Other African languages.
For any candidate to be admitted in any Department in the University of Lagos, the Candidate must score 200 and above in JAMB.
