In this article we are going to be listing the necessary requirements candidates must meet to study English Language in the Lagos State University ranging from O’level subject combination, JAMB Score and Post UTME Score and departmental cut-Off mark.
To study English Language, candidates must meet the following requirements.
O’LEVEL SUBJECT COMBINATION
- Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Literature-in-English, English Language and three other Arts or Social Science subjects..
Please Note: The UTME Requirement above is same for courses like;
- English Language and Literature.
- English Language and Communication Studies.
JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION
Below is the UTME SUBJECT COMBINATION for English Language.
- English Language(*), Literature-in-English, one other Arts subject and another Arts or Social Science subject.
Please Note: The UTME Subject Combination above is same for courses like;
- English Language and Literature.
- English Language and Communication Studies.
DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE
Below is the Direct Entry (DE) Requirement for English Language.
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes to include Literature-in-English and one (1) other Arts subject.
Please Note: The Direct Entry Requirement above is also same for courses like;
- English Language and Literature.
- English Language and Communication Studies.
For any candidate to be admitted in any Department in the University of Lagos, the Candidate must score 200 and above in JAMB.
