This was stated in a statement signed by the university’s Registrar, Monday Danjem, on Friday.

Meanwhile, the UNIJOS chapter of the Academic Employees Union of Universities (ASUU) has recommended the Federal Government secure the University of Jos against attacks and killings of its employees and students before the school’s next reopening.

On Sunday, the Union requested a statement in response to a security breach in Jos and other parts of Plateau state that resulted in the deaths of some students.

According to the union, the University’s immediate surroundings have grown hostile to the University community, and students and employees are being targeted and killed rather than being safeguarded from hoodlums.
