UNIJOS Department of Nursing/Nursing Science Admission Requirement 2023/2024

This is to notify the general public and all aspiring University of Jos (UNIJOS) students that the Department of Nursing/Nursing Science admission requirements have been published.

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Pharmacy include the following:

Five (5) SSCE credit passes in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and English Language.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB.

• English Language.
• Biology
• Physics
• Chemistry

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Nursing/Nursing Science if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

• ‘A’ Level passes in any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics.
• ND Upper Credit in Prosthesis and Orthopaedic Technology.
• Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Biology/ Zoology, Chemistry, and Physics plus three (3) other ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics, Physics, and English Language.
• NRN or its approved equivalent plus five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes  in English Language and four (4) Science subjects chosen from Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Human Anatomy, Physiology and Hygiene, Health Science, Further Mathematics, and General Science

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIJOS for the 2023/2024 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a minimum score of 180 or above in your JAMB result.
