The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
Entry Requirements
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Visual Arts include Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Fine Art
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- Spinning
- Weaving
- Surface Design and Printing
- Bleaching, Dyeing, and Finishing
- Ceramics
- Graphic Design
- Graphic Printing
- Decorative Painting
- Spray Painting
- Lining, Sign & Design
- Wall Hanging
- Color Mixing/Matching and Glazing
- Building/Engineering Drawing
- General Wood Work.
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
UNICROSS requires five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, and other Arts or Social Science subjects. Fine Arts will be an added advantage.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- Chemistry
- Mathematics and Fine Art/Physics
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
- UNICROSS requires any three (3) subjects
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Visual Arts and Technology if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- ‘A’ level passes in Two of Fine Arts, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
- ND in Industrial Design Glass Technology, or Fine Art at Credit
Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks
UNICROSS accepts NCE in Fine Arts or ND in Fine Arts with a minimum credit of 2.5.
JAMB Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNICROSS for the 2022/2023 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 140 or above in your JAMB result.
