This is to inform the general public that the admission requirements for the Department of Social Work at the University of Calabar have been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
About The University of Calabar
The University of Calabar is a federal university in Cross River State, Nigeria’s south-south region. In 1975, the university was established.
The university has a very large student and staff population and a diverse student body. All applicants to the university are accepted, regardless of their cultural or religious background. Additionally, there is no restriction on applicants’ ages.
O’Level Subject Combination
Below is the UTME Requirement for Social Work in the faculty of Social/Management Sciences:
- Five (5) SSCE credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language and any three subjects below:
- Economics/Geography and any other subject.
Direct Entry Requirement For Social Work
Below is the Direct Entry Requirement for Social Work in the Faculty of Social/Management Sciences
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes in any subject.
For any candidate to be admitted to any Department in the University of Calabar, the Candidate must score 150 and above in JAMB.
