UNICAL Department of History & International Studies Admission Requirement

This article is designed to help students who wish to study History & International Studies in the University of Calabar (UNICAL).

The University of Calabar is a university situated in Calabar, Cross River State, south-south Nigeria. It is one of Nigeria’s second generation federal universities. The University of Calabar was a campus of the University of Nigeria until 1975. The architecture was designed by John Elliott.

In this article we are going to be listing the necessary requirements candidates must meet to study History & International Studies in the University of Calabar (UNICAL)  ranging from O’level subject combination, JAMB Score and Post UTME Score and departmental cut-Off mark.

To study History & International Studies, candidates must meet the following requirements.

O’LEVEL SUBJECT COMBINATION

Below is the UTME Requirement for History  and International Studies in faculty of Arts and Humanities

  • Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Geography, Government/History.

JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION

Below is the UTME/JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION for History  and International Studies in faculty of Arts and Humanities.

  • English Language(*), History/Government and any other two (2) subjects from Arts and Social Sciences.

Please note that the UTME/JAMB subject combination above is same for courses like; History and Diplomatic StudiesInternational Studies and DiplomacyInternational relations and diplomacyHistory and DiplomaInternational and comprehensive politics.

DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR HISTORY AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES

Below is the Direct Entry (DE) Requirement for History  and International Studies in faculty of Arts and Humanities.

  • Two (2) ‘A’ level passes/NCE (upper credit) in History/Government and any other related subject.

JAMB Score

For any candidate to be admitted in any Department in the University of Lagos, the Candidate must score 150 and above in JAMB.
