This is to inform the general public and all aspirants of the University of Calabar that the admission requirements for the Department of Accountancy/Accounting have been published.

About The University of Calabar

The University of Calabar is a federal university in Cross River State, Nigeria’s south-south region. In 1975, the university was established.

The university has a very large student and staff population and a diverse student body. All applicants to the university are accepted, regardless of their cultural or religious background. Additionally, there is no restriction on applicants’ ages.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Accountancy/Accounting include the following: Five (5) SSCE credit passes in the following subjects:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Economics and two (2) other relevant subjects

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Economics and any other Social Science subject

Direct Entry Requirement For Accountancy/Accounting

Below is the Direct Entry Requirement for Accountancy/Accounting:

  • Two (2) ‘A’ level passes, including Economics.

JAMB Score

For any candidate to be admitted to any Department in the University of Calabar, the Candidate must score 150 and above in JAMB.
