This is to inform the general public and all aspiring students of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) that the admission requirements for the Department of Surveying & Geo-Informatics have been published.

UNIBEN DIrect Entry

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Surveying and Geo-Informatics include Five SSCE passes in the following subjects:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry and one subject from below:
  • Fine Art
  • Geography or Wood Work
  • Biology
  • Economics
  • Technical Drawing
  • Further Mathematics
  • Introduction to Building Construction
  • Bricklaying/Block laying
  • Concreting, Wall, Floor, and Ceiling Finishing
  • Joinery
  • Carpentry
  • Decorative Painting
  • Lining, Sign & Design, Wall Hanging
  • Colour Mixing/Matching & Glazing
  • Ceramics
  • Graphics Design
  • Graphic Printing
  • Basic Electricity

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB

  • English Language
  • Physics
  • Mathematics, and any Chemistry, Geography, Art, Biology, and Economics

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Surveying and Geo-Informatics if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

  • Two ‘A’ level passes chosen from Mathematics or Physics and Chemistry, Geography or Fine Arts.
  • ND/HND upper credits in relevant field.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIBEN for the 2022/2023 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 200 or above in your JAMB result.
