UNIBEN Department of Political Science & Public Administration Admission Requirement 2022/2023

This is to inform the general public and all aspiring students of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) that the admission requirements for the Department of Political Science & Public Administration have been published.

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Political Science & Public Administration include the following:

Five SSCE credit passes including English Language Government or History and at least a pass in Mathematics

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB

• English Language
• Three Arts or Social Science subjects

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remark

• UNIBEN accepts Government or History, one other Social Science subject, and any other subject

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Political Science and Public Administration if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

• Two ‘A’ level passes in Government and one other Social Science subject

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remark

UNIBEN accepts the following:

• Merit in ND (Upper Credit)/HND (Lower Credit) in Public Administration or Mass Communication.
• ND/NCE (overall merit) with Credit pass in Government/History and any other Social Science subject.
• Direct Entry candidates must satisfy UTME requirements.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIBEN for the 2022/2023 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 200 or above in your JAMB result.
