UNIBEN Department of Computer Education Admission Requirement 2022/2023

This is to inform the general public and all aspiring students of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) that the admission requirements for the Department of Computer Education have been published.

UNIBEN DIrect Entry

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Computer Education include the following:

  • Five (5) SSCE credit passes including Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Economics/ Commerce plus one (1) of Chemistry/Physics/Biology

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

UNIBEN requires Mathematics, Physics, and any other Science or Social Sciences subjects.

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Computer Education if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

  • Two (2)’A’ Level passes or its equivalents in Physics and Mathematics.
  • ND in Computer Science
  • NCE distinction credit or merit in Computer Education, Physics, or Mathematics

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

UNIBEN requires:

  • Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes including Mathematics and one (1)Science subject plus three(3)’O’ Level credit passes including English Language at one sitting.
  • Two (2) or three (3) NCE merit including Computer Science or Mathematics/Physics plus three (3) or two (2) ‘O’ Level credit passes at one (1) sitting.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIBEN for the 2022/2023 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 200 or above in your JAMB result.
