UNIBEN Department of Adult Education/Economics & Statistics Admission Requirement 2022/2023

This is to inform the general public and all aspiring students of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) that the admission requirements for the Department of Adult Education/Economics & Statistics have been published.

UNIBEN DIrect Entry

The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.

Entry Requirements

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Adult Education/Economics & Statistics include Five (5) credit passes in the following subjects:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics and three (3) subjects from below:
  • Literature in English
  • History
  • French
  • Yoruba
  • Igbo
  • Hausa
  • Christian Religious Studies
  • Islamic Studies
  • Geography/Physics
  • Economics and Government or TC II with a pass in English Language and four (4) other subjects.

JAMB UTME Subject Combination

Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB

  • English Language
  • Government/History, one (1) Social Science subject, and any other subject

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Adult Education/Economics & Statistics if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

  • Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes.
  • NCE merit in two (2) subjects.

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

  • UNIBEN accepts ‘A’ Level passes in relevant Arts and Social Science subjects plus three (3) ‘O’ Level passes including English Language at one (1) sitting.
  • Two (2) or three (3) NCE merit plus three (3) or two (2) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language at one (1) sitting.
  • ND upper credit plus three (3) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language at one (1) sitting.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIBEN for the 2022/2023 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 200 or above in your JAMB result.
