UNIABUJA Department of Statistics Admission Requirement 2023/2024

This article is designed to help students who wish to study Statistics Faculty of   Sciences at the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA).

It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in UNIABUJA  to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

The university runs regular degree, diploma, and postgraduate programs. Its location in the Federal Capital Territory has a Centre for Distance Learning School, which provides university education to those who cannot acquire such education through the regular university system and those interested in acquiring new knowledge and specialized skills.

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Statistics; You require;

Five (5) SSC credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, and at least three (3) subjects from Physics, Statistics, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Economics, and Geography.

Jamb Subject Combination

In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Statistics under the Faculty of Sciences in the above Universities include;

Mathematics and any two (2) of Physics, Chemistry, and Economics.

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks:

• UNIABUJA also accepts Biology and Geography.

Direct Entry Requirements

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Statistics if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

Two (2) ‘A’ level passes to include Mathematics or Statistics. NCE credit in relevant subjects

Special Requirements (Waiver) Remarks

• UNIABUJA accepts two (2) ‘A’ level  passes in Mathematics and either Physics and Chemistry  OR NCE (minimum 10 points) with  credit  in Mathematics and another Science subject OR ND upper credit in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer science

Jamb Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIABUJA  for the 2023/2024 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result.
