UNIABUJA Department of Islamic Studies Admission Requirement 2022/2023

This article is designed to help students who wish to study Islamic Studies Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA).

It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in UNIABUJA  to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

The university runs regular degree, diploma, and postgraduate programs. Its location in the Federal Capital Territory has a Centre for Distance Learning School which provides university education to those who cannot acquire such education.

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Islamic Studies; You require;

Five (5) SSCE credit passes to include English Language and Islamic Studies or Arabic and any three (3) relevant subjects.

Jamb Subject Combination

In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Islamic Studies under the Faculty of Arts & Humanities in the above Universities include;

Islamic Studies plus two (2) other Arts subjects.

Direct Entry Requirements

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Islamic Studies if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

Two (2) ‘A’ level passes to include Islamic Studies.

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

  • UNIABUJA accepts a minimum of ten (10) points in NCE merit or ND upper credit in addition to UTME requirements.

Jamb Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIABUJA  for the 2022/2023 session, should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result.
