UNIABUJA Department of Environmental Education Admission Requirement

This article is designed to help students who wish to study  Environmental Education Faculty of Education in University of Abuja (UNIABUJA)  as it is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in UNIABUJA  to  carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

The University of Abuja is a tertiary institution in the Nigerian capital Abuja. It was established on January 1, 1988 (under Decree No. 110 of 1992 as amended) as a dual-mode university with the mandate to run conventional and distance learning programmes. Academic work began in the University in 1990 with the matriculation of its pioneer students.

The university runs regular degree, diploma, and postgraduate programmes. Due to its location in the Federal Capital Territory has a Centre for Distance Learning School which provides university education to those who cannot acquire such education through the regular university system and those interested in acquiring new knowledge and specialized skills.

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Environmental Education;

You require;

Five (5) SSC credit passes to include Mathematics, English Language and any of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Health Science and Agricultural Science



(i) UNIBEN requires Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics or Geography.


In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Environmental Education under the Faculty of Education in the above Universities include;

Mathematics and two (2) others from Biology, Chemistry and Physics


These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Environmental Education, if you don’t intend to use UTME.

You require;

(i) NCE or

(ii) ND with three (3) ‘O’ level creditpasses including English Language and ‘O’ level pass in Mathematics is mandatory.


1. UNICAL accepts NCE or ND with a credit or merit in Environmental Education or any other relevant subjects/programme

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIABUJA  for the 2019/2020 session, should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result.
