UNIABUJA Department of Accountancy/Accounting Admission Requirement 2022/2023

This article is designed to help students who wish to study Accountancy/Accounting  Faculty of Administration  in University of Abuja (UNIABUJA).

 As it is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in UNIABUJA  to  carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

The University was established on January 1, 1988 (under Decree No. 110 of 1992 as amended) as a dual-mode university with the mandate to run conventional and distance learning programmes.

Academic work began at the university in 1990 with the matriculation of its pioneer students. The university runs regular degree, diploma, and postgraduate programmes.

In addition, its location in the Federal Capital Territory has a Centre for Distance Learning School, which provides university education to those who cannot acquire such education.

Through the regular university system and those interested in acquiring new knowledge and specialized skills. 

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Accountancy / Accounting;

You require

• Five (5) SSCE credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and any other two (2) relevant subjects.
• For NBC holders, the other two (2) relevant subjects could be from any of Principles of Accounts, Commerce, Office Practice and Secretarial Duties.

Jamb Subject Combination

In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Accountancy / Accounting under the Faculty of Administration in the above Universities include;

Mathematics, Economics plus any Social Science subject.

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Accountancy / Accounting, if you don’t intend to use UTME.

You require;

Two (2) ‘A’ level passes chosen from Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Government and Geography.

Jamb Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into UNIABUJA  for the 2022/2023 session, should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result.
