It acquired the status of State Academy in the year 1920, and it was confirmed again to Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) in Ukraine in the year 1994 by order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine [No. 224] dated 20th April 1994.
