The Sydney Scholars Award is valued at $6,000 and is tenable for one year of an undergraduate degree.

Requirements for University of Sydney Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification

To be considered for the University of Sydney Undergraduate Scholarship you must meet the following requirements:

• Be an overseas student who has just finished their overseas Baccalaureate (or other degree equating to the HSC) or a domestic student (this includes New Zealand nationals).
• Be making an admissions application via UAC,
• Have an ATAR of 95 or higher (you must have an ATAR of 90 or higher to apply to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music or the Sydney Dental School).
• Apply the year you finish your secondary education (if a Sydney Scholars Award is given, you may postpone it for up to two years).

Note: Domestic students with outstanding academic standing who are disadvantaged by poverty or other factors are also welcome to apply for the Sydney Scholars Awards on equity and hardship grounds.
