SSU 2022/2023 CUT-OFF MARK

We all know that before you are admitted into the Sokoto State University (SSU). You will meet up all their requirements. Well, if we all know that, we will also know that before you are given admission, you will meet up with the school’s departmental and faculty cut-off marks.

If the course of your choice is Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy, Law,  Art, Education, etc, you will reach their cut-off mark before you get admission.

It is not everyone that knows the meaning of the cut-off mark. Most aspirants ask this question ( what is the meaning of the cut-off mark).  However, if you on this category who ask such questions. You are not alone; vast learners will explain it here for you.

What is the meaning of the cut-off mark?? A cut-off mark is an agreed score set by a particular institution as a basis for admitting students into the department of study.

As it said, it is an agreed score set as admission basics. It means that when an institution sets their cut-off mark to be 200 in jamb and u score 199, they will not admit you because they set their cut-off mark to be 200. But when u score above 200,  you will have the chance of getting admission into the university.

I hope you now understand the meaning of the cut-off mark.

well, many do ask this question.  What is the jamb cut-off mark for SSU?  Well, the general Sokoto State University cut-off mark Is 180

So when you sore above 180 you will stand the chance of getting admission.  Those that scored 270, 290, 300. will have the chance of coming out in the first list, because no university will admit students that score 180 first when their is student that scored above.

let us not forget that SSU considers both Post Utme score.  So meeting the jamb cut of mark is not the only issue.  You will have to score higher in your post utme to be given admission.

NoteSSU is one of the top tertiary institutions in Nigeria, and they try to maintain a certain standard. It is often said that if you cannot improve on the existing standard, keep the standard the way you found it. There is no way Ssu will decide to beat their cut-off mark down below their minimum cut-off mark.

The Sokoto State University does not have a specific cut-off mark for courses. However, candidates who have scored a minimum of one 180 in the UTME examination is eligible to apply for admission into any of their choice courses.

Due to the high number of students wishing to study at Sokoto State University, the admission process is competitive, and admission is given Using JAMB score and O-level grades.

It is often essential that a candidate arrive early and locate his/her screening venue early. Candidates will be screened on the JAMB scores and their SSCE results.

To correctly calculate your aggregate, know that the JAMB Examination comprises 400 marks, whereas the SSU Post UTME is made of 100 marks.

  1. Divide your JAMB score by 8,
  2. Divide your Post UTME score by  2,
  3. Add up the result.

This is how to calculate yours.

If Treasure scored 240 in her JAMB and 80 in her Post UTME, then her Aggregate score can be obtained by following these steps.

240/8= 30

80/2= 40

40+ 30= 70

Treasure’s aggregate score is 70
