This article is designed to help students who wish to study Computer Science under the Faculty of Sciences at Sokoto State Univeristy (SSU).
It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered at SSU to carefully confirm and see if the course they selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

The Sokoto State Univeristy is located in Sokoto State, Nigeria.
It was established in 2009 as part of a motivated effort on the part of the Sokoto State to satisfy the quest of the people of the state for excellence and education.
It began as the Sokoto State Univeristy School of Developmental Studies, which ran a one-year degree program to prepare students for the University.
The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Computer Science is Five (5) SSCE credits in English Language, Mathematics, and Physics plus two other science subjects.
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.
Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Computer Science at SSU include Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Agric Science, Economics, and Geography.
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Computer Science if you do not intend to use UTME.
You require two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Biology.
All candidates interested in getting admitted into SSU for the 2023/2024 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
The university has a very competitive admissions process and does not consider a student’s age, cultural background, or religion when deciding whether to admit them. Thus, a diverse student body is made possible.
