This is to inform the general public and all Rivers State University (RSU) aspirants that the Department of Marketing Admission requirements has been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Marketing include the following:
- Five (5) SSCE credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, and any three (3) relevant subjects.
Special Requirement (Waiver) Remarks
- RSUST requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any two (2) other subjects
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- Economics plus one (1) other relevant Subject
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Marketing if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes chosen from Accounting, Management, Government, and Geography.
All candidates interested in getting admitted into RSU for the 2023/2024 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result.
The Rivers State University of Technology was founded in 1979 and is the first of its kind in Nigeria. According to the 4icu.org international higher education rankings, the school is ranked sixth in Nigeria.
The university was established as a non-profit organization to push the frontiers of technology in Nigeria, and the university has been committed to this since its inception.
The school was formally known as Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST), or UST for short, until it was renamed in 2017 by the administration of Governor Nyesom Wike.
