Ogun State Institute of Technology, OGITECH Gets New Acting Rector

The Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH) has appointed a new acting Rector.

After 8 years of successful administration by Engr. Dr. (Mrs.) Olufunke Olanike Akinkurolere FNSE at Ogun State Institute of Technology Igbesa (OGITECH), the institution has relieved her of duty.

The mantle of leadership has been passed to a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Mr. Odutola Oluyemi Akanbi (FCA), to run the Institute’s affairs until the Government appoints another substantive Rector.

Before being appointed as the Institute’s Coordinator, Mr. Odutola was the Dean of the School of Financial Management Studies and the Director of Academic Planning.

Before becoming a Chief Lecturer at the Institute, he served on various Institute committees, including the Accreditation Committee and the Convocation Committee. He wrote several books and papers in local and international magazines.

An intelligent scholar, goal achiever, and brilliant Chartered Accountant who entered the service of Ogun State Institute of Technology after leaving Gateway Holdings Limited (GHL), where he began his professional career as an Assistant Projects Manager.

A Crawford University First Class graduate in Accounting and Finance, a Masters in Finance from Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU), and a Ph.D. candidate in Accounting and Finance at Crawford University, Faith City, Igbesa.

As a pioneer student, he attended Our Lady of Apostles Primary School in Ibara and the elite Air Force Military School in Jos before moving to Ogun State Polytechnic, Ojere, now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, for his National and Higher National Diploma credentials in Accounting.

A native of Ijoun, Yewa North Local Government of Ogun State. He was born to the family of Late Chief Odutola Abraham Bankole, the baale of Eeja, Orile, and Mrs. Odutola Ashande in 1969. He has a happy marriage and children.
