Programs leading to a postgraduate diploma
An applicant for admission to the university’s postgraduate diploma must be:
- (i) An Obafemi Awolowo University alumnus or alumna with at least a third-class degree.
- (a) Master Degree ProgramsApplicants must typically hold a Second Class (Lower Division) Honours Degree from Obafemi Awolowo University or another recognized institution.
- (b) Master of Philosophy Degree Programs: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with a weighted average of between 50 and 59% (C) at the Masters level
- OR a Master’s degree with a long essay and a weighted coursework average that, in most cases, cannot be less than 60% (B)S.
- (c) Programs leading to a doctor of philosophy A graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University or another accredited university with a master’s degree, a research thesis, and a weighted coursework average that, typically, cannot be less than 60%
- (B), qualifies as an applicant for admission to the Ph.D. degree program.
- (ii) A 2nd Class (Lower Division) or higher graduate from any other accredited university
