OAU Faculty of Law Admission Requirement 2022/2023

This article is designed to help students who wish to study Law under the Faculty of Law at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).

It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), formerly known as the University of Ife, is a federal government-owned and operated Nigerian university. The university is in the ancient city of Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.

Obafemi Awolowo University offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in fields of specialization spanning the humanities, the arts, the natural sciences, the social sciences, the medical sciences, engineering, and technology.

The university has 13 faculties and two colleges the Postgraduate College and the College of Health Sciences — administered in more than 60 departments. It was previously associated with Loma Linda University in California, USA.

O’Level Subject Combination

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Law; You require;

Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Literature in English, and Mathematics.

Jamb Subject Combination

In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Law under the Faculty of Law in the above Universities include;

Any three Arts or Social Science subjects.

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Law if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

  • Two ‘A’ level passes in Arts or Social Science subjects.
  • NCE/ND/First Degree (Second Class Lower).

Jamb Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into OAU for the 2022/2023 session, should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 200  or above in your JAMB result.
