This article informs all interested individuals that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) administration has announced the start of the 2023 NYSC Batch A orientation Course.
The Management of the Scheme has scheduled the 2023 NYSC Batch A Orientation course to commence on Tuesday, 10th March 2023 nationwide.
Schedule for NYSC Batch A Orientation Course
The 2023 NYSC Batch ‘A’ Orientation Course is scheduled to commence in all the NYSC Orientation Camps as follows:
- Commencement/Registration – Tuesday, 10th March 2023.
- Cut-off date for Registration – Midnight, Wednesday, 11th March, 2023.
- Swearing-In Ceremony – Thursday, 12th March 2023.
- Closing Ceremony: Monday, 30th March 2023.
Requirements for NYSC Batch A Orientation Exercise
All prospective corps members slated for the 2023 Batch A Orientation Course are advised to proceed to their respective Camps as stated in their Call-up Letters.
Foreign-trained graduates must report to the Camp in possession of their International Passports and original copies of all submitted papers.
Prospective Corps Members of Mono/Polytechnic would be required to produce a National Diploma (ND) Certificate together with other essential documentation as a pre-requisite for enrollment at Orientation Camps countrywide.
Prospective corps members are warned not to present any fake documents for registration. Management has put in place systems to clamp down and prosecute anyone caught.
If the Call-up Letter is lost, the Corps member who received it from his/her Institution is instructed to get a Police Report and an affidavit and then report to their Alma mata for further action.
Those who initially printed their Call-up Letters on-line can re-print them in case of loss.
Those who first printed their Call-up Letters on-line can reproduce them if lost.
Anyone who fails to report for Service Corps service as directed in the Call-up Letter and/or refuses to present for Service will be prosecuted.
This is done under Section 13, sub-section 1(a) and (b) of the NYSC Act.
Furthermore, any person who is not eligible to participate, who has been given a Certificate of National Service or a Certificate of Exemption but participates or attempts to participate, will be prosecuted.
This is done under Section 13, sub-section 2(a) and (b) of the NYSC Act.
Similarly, deployment, relocation and internal posting of Corps Members are treated according to the policy and do not attract any fee.
Prospective and Serving Corps Members are hereby advised to beware of fraudsters with mischievous intentions that may want to lure them into parting with some money under the guise of rendering such services.
