JAMB traditionally spices up its English Section with new novels to test candidates’ comprehension abilities, and this year will not be any different.

Since the introduction of novels by JAMB, questions have always been set from the compulsory novels in the general paper section.

Irrespective of your choice of study, candidates should understand that this novel is compulsory.

The recommended novel for all candidates in the 2023 JAMB UTME is. “The Life Changer” by Khadija Abubakar Jali.

JAMB sometimes uses a novel 2 or 3 times before changing, and Life Changer has been introduced for the 2022/2023 academic session

Candidates are to pay the usual amount of Five Hundred Naira to purchase the Novel.

Summary of the Novel to Read for JAMB

Ummi talks to them about how careless and liberated university students are, how it might be difficult to discern lecturers from students when they are dressed so scantily, and how some colleges have dress standards that must be followed.

Ummi describes her encounter with Salma, a sophisticated young woman.
Salma arrives for registration much later than the rest of the group, but she is angry about the delay.
