Accreditation Process and Support
Vice-Chancellor of the NOUN, Prof. Olufemi Peters, and the Dean of the Health Science faculty, Prof. Shehu Usman, expressed their gratitude in a congratulatory letter for the support provided in receiving accreditation.
The letter emphasized the important role played by the university in procuring laboratory equipment, renovating facilities, and building the Abuja model study center, the Environmental Village.
Maintaining Accreditation Status
The Vice-Chancellor was assured by Prof.Shehu Usman that the Health Sciences Faculty would continue to work effortlessly to maintain the full accreditation status of the Department of Environmental Health Sciences and Nursing Sciences.
This commitment will ensure that NOUN remains at the forefront of providing high-quality education in these fields.
Celebrating Two Decades of NOUN
In a related development, NOUN recently held a round-table discussion to mark its 20th anniversary.
The event, titled “NOUN in the Nigeria Higher Education System: Impact, Achievements, and Next Steps,” featured prominent personalities such as Emeritus Prof. Olugbemiro Jegede, a former Vice-Chancellor of NOUN, and Prof. Vincent Ado Tenebe.
