Subject Combination / JAMB UTME Requirements

in UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Electrical Engineering under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology in the above Universities include; Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

O’Level Requirements

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Electrical Engineering; You require;

Five SSCE credit passes, including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English.

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

  • LASU Same as in Mechanical Engineering.
  • UNIPORT requires the fifth ‘O’ level credit pass in any Science subject, preferably Further Mathematics.
  • RSUST – Same as in Civil Engineering.
  • UNN – Same as in Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering

Direct Entry Requirements

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Electrical Engineering if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;

  • ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics and Physics.
  • ND/HND in Elect Eng. Upper/Lower credit, respectively.

Special Consideration (Waiver) Remarks

  • ABU accepts; ‘A’ level/IJMB passes in Mathematics and Physics, ND/HND upper/lower credit in Electrical Engineering with distinction in Mathematics, respectively
  • UNIABUJA accepts HND lower credit or ND upper credit in Electrical Engineering from accredited institutions plus UTME requirements into 200 level.
  • LASU accepts ND/HND upper credit in relevant programs for a four (4) year program.
  • LASU Same as in Mechanical Engineering.
  • FUTMINNA accepts ND/HND lower credit in relevant programs plus five (5) ‘O’ level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and one other science subject.
  • UNIPORT – No Direct Entry.
  • RSUST – as in Civil Engineering.
  • UNN – Same as in Agricultural and Bioresources Engineering.
