This article is designed to help students who wish to study Economics under the Faculty of Social & Management Sciences at the Nigeria Defence Academy.
It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered by NDA to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.
The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Kaduna, is one of the first of two Military Universities in Nigeria. Nigerian Army University established in 2018 in Biu, Borno State is the other military university though it does not offer military training.
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Economics; You require;
Five SSCE credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any two of the Arts or Social Science subjects.
Jamb Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Economics under the Faculty of Social & Management Sciences in the above Universities include;
Economics, Mathematics, and any of Government, History, Geography, Lit-in-English, French, and CRK/IRK.
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Economics if you don’t intend to use UTME.
Two ‘A’ level passes in Economics and any one of Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Physics, Chemistry, Agric Science, Accounting, Business Management, History and Government.
All candidates interested in getting admitted into NDA for the 2022/2023 session, should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result.
