Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH)has announced an exciting line-up of events for its 15th Convocation ceremonies.
The 33-year-old institution is set to celebrate its academic achievements and milestones with a week-long program starting on Friday, April 21st, 2023.
The ceremonies will include various religious, academic, and cultural events to mark this significant occasion.
Opening Ceremony: Embracing Diversity and Gratitude
The week-long celebration will kick off on Friday, April 21st, with special Muslim prayers at the Institution’s Central Mosque in Ogbomoso between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
The Registrar of the University, Dr Kayode Ogunleye, stated that Christians and well-wishers would then take their turn on Sunday, April 23rd, to gather at the Interdenominational Chapel.
This is to express their gratitude for the past year’s achievements and pray for a renewed beginning.
Press Conference and Research Fair
On April 26th, 2023, a press conference will be held to officially announce the various events at the Council Chamber in the Senate Building of the University between 9:00 am and 10:00 am.
Following the press conference, a Research Fair and Exhibition will occur at the Senate Building Foyer between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. Concurrently, the Alumni Day event will run at the Hall from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The Convocation Lecture will be held at the Great Hall, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, from 10:00 am to noon on Thursday, April 27th, 2023.
The afternoon will feature a Convocation play and Cultural performance at the Amphitheatre between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm, followed by a Cocktail event at 3:00 pm at the same venue.

Higher and Honorary Degree Awards
The week-long program will conclude on Saturday, April 29th, 2023, with the Award of Higher and Honorary degrees taking place at the Great Hall and Amphitheatre from 10:00 am onwards.
