A team of researchers from Lagos State University School of Transport and Logistics led by Professor S.G Odewunmi has won a research grant of SEK100,000 (Swedish Krona) through a proposal submitted to the Volvo Educational and Research Foundation (VREF).
The study is entitled “Investigation of the Cause of the Relationship Between Quadruple Governance and Endless Traffic in the Apapa Port Area of Lagos State, Nigeria.”
Following the award, VREF also named the LASU School of Transport and Logistics the Center for Excellence in Research and Education.
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, congratulates the team on their success, which has further strengthened LASU’s position as a centre for research and innovation.
He also described it as an important step in the race to become the leading university in West Africa and promised to provide the entire team with the support they need to do the job.
