This article is designed to help students who wish to study Banking and Finance under the Faculty of Social & Management Sciences at Kaduna State University.
It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in KASU to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.
The Kaduna State University was established under the Kaduna State Law Number 3 promulgated on 21st May 2004. The promulgation resulted from the obvious and felt need to boost higher education in the State and the country in general.
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Banking and Finance; You require;
Five (5) SSC credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and two (2) other relevant subjects.

Jamb Subject Combination
In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Banking and Finance under the Faculty of Social & Management Sciences in the above Universities include;
Mathematics, one Social Science subject, and any other subject
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfil to gain Direct Entry admission to study Banking and Finance if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Accounting or Economics and one other subject.
- NCE merit in relevant subjects.
- ND credit.
- Foundation International exams such as ICAN, ACCA, ICMA, and GPFA.
Jamb Score
All candidates interested in getting admitted into KASU for the 2023/2024 session, should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have a minimum score of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
