This article is designed to help students who wish to study Insurance Faculty of Social and Management science in Ibadan Polytechnic (IBADANPOLY)
The Polytechnic, Ibadan is an institution of higher learning in Ibadan in Oyo State, Nigeria. Founded in 1970, Poly Ibadan is similar to other polytechnics in Nigeria. The institution was established to provide an alternative higher education to universities, particularly in technical skill acquisition.

To study Insurance , candidates must meet the following requirements.
O’LEVEL SUBJECT COMBINATION
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Insurance;
You require; English Language (not Literature in English)and Mathematics and any three subjects from the following:
Economics/Commerce,Business Methods,Principles of
Accounts,Literature in English, Geography ,Office Practice,Government,Biology/Agricultural Science,
Chemistry,Physics,History/Government Typewriting and Shorthand.
JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION
In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Insurance under the Faculty of Social & Management Sciences in the above Universities include;
Mathematics and any two of Economics, Geography., Commerce or Principle of Accounts
Direct Entry Requirements
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Insurance, if you don’t intend to use UTME.
You require; a)TOPSPOLY and IBADANPOLY require credit
pass in Economics or Commerce.
b)OSUNPOLY : offer Insurance as Financial Studies.
c)LASPOTECH :does not accept Literature – in -English as course requirement for Insurance.
d)RIVPOLY :accepts Mathematics and any two of Economics, Government, Commerce or Principles of Account as UTME subjects
For any candidate to be admitted in any Department in the University of Lagos, the Candidate must score 150 and above in JAMB.
The Departmental cut-off mark for Insurance is 164
