This is to inform the general public and all Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) aspirants that the Department of Surveying & Geo-Informatics admission requirements has been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Surveying and Geo-Informatics include Five SSCE credits in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Chemistry and any one subject from below:
- Fine Art
- Geography or Wood Work
- Technical Drawing
- Further Mathematics
- Introduction to Building Construction
- Bricklaying/Block laying
- Wall, Floors, and Ceiling Finishing
- Decorative Painting
- Lining, Sign & Design
- Wall Hanging
- Colour Mixing/Matching & Glazing
- Graphics Design
- Graphic Printing
- Basic Electricity
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- Mathematics, and any one subject below:
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Surveying and Geo-Informatics if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two ‘A’ level passes chosen from Mathematics or Physics and Chemistry, Geography or Fine Arts.
- ND/HND upper credits in relevant field
All candidates interested in getting admitted to the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, for the 2023/2024 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 160 or above in your JAMB result.
