This is to inform the general public and all Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) aspirants that the Department of Quantity Surveying admission requirements has been published.
The admission requirements include O’level Subject combinations, JAMB UTME Subject combinations, and School and Departmental Cut-Off Marks.
O’Level Subject Combination
The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Quantity Surveying include Five SSCE credits in the following subjects:
- English Language
- Chemistry and any one subject from below:
- Fine Art
- Geography or Wood Work
- Technical Drawing
- Further Mathematics
- Introduction to Building Construction
- Bricklaying/Block laying
- Wall, Floors, and Ceiling Finishing
- Decorative Painting
- Lining, Sign, and Design
- Wall Hanging
- Color Mixing/Matching and Glazing
- Graphics Design
- Graphic Printing
- Basic Electricity
JAMB UTME Subject Combination
Candidates will write the following Four (4) Subjects in JAMB
- English Language
- Mathematics, and any one of the below subjects:
Direct Entry Requirement
These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Quantity Surveying if you don’t intend to use UTME. You require;
- Two (2) ‘A’ level passes chosen from Mathematics or Physics and Chemistry, Geography or Fine Arts.
- ND/HND upper credits in relevant field.
All candidates interested in getting admitted to the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, for the 2022/2023 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 160 or above in your JAMB result.
