FUTO Department of Maritime Management Technology Admission Requirement

This article is designed to  students who wish to study Maritime Management Technology  Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Technology  in Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO)  as it is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in Federal University of Technology, Owerri to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

To study Maritime Management Technology candidates must meet the following requirements.

O’LEVEL SUBJECT COMBINATION

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Maritime Management Technology;

You require; Five SSCE credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and one of Biology, Economics or Geography in not more than two sittings.

JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION

In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Maritime Management Technology under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology in the above Universities include;

Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Maritime Management Technology, if you don’t intend to use UTME.

You require; Two ‘A’ level passes in Mathematics, Physics/Chemistry, Economics and Upper credit OD/HND in Maritime Technology Engineering.

SUBJECTS SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER) REMARKS

(i) FUTO requires two ‘A’ Level passes not below Grade C from Mathematics, Physics and Economics. It also accepts ND/HND (Upper Credit) in Maritime Management Technology, Transport Management Technology, Engineering and Management. Candidates must in addition meet UTME ‘O’ Level requirements. It does not accept First Degree or NCE.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted to Federal University of Technology, Owerri, for the 2019/2020 session, should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored 180 or above in your JAMB result.
