It is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in FUTA to carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

About Federal Unversity of Technology Akure

Federal Unversity of Technology Akure is located in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria.

It was established in 1981 by the government of Nigeria with the mandate of creating Universities that specializes in producing graduates with practical and theoretical knowledge of technology.

Admission Requirements for Urban and Regional Planning

WAEC/NECO Subject Combination

The WAEC/NECO subject combination and requirements needed to study Urban and Regional Planning is Five (5) SSCE credits in Mathematics, English Language, Geography, and any of these subjects; chemistry, physics, Economics, Government, Biology, Art, History, IRK/CRK, Social Studies, and Tech Drawing.

JAMB Subject Combination

In UTME, please note that the English Language is Compulsory for this course.

Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combinations needed to study Urban and Regional Planning under the Faculty of Engineering, Environment & Technology at FUTA include;

Geography, Mathematics, and one other subject chosen from Physics, Economics, and Chemistry.

Direct Entry Requirement

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Urban and Regional Planning if you don’t intend to use UTME.

You require;

Two (2) ‘A’ Level/NCE passes in Mathematics and Geography.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUTA for the 2022/2023 session should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have scored a minimum of 180 and above in your JAMB result.
