FUTA Department of Agricultural Resourses Extenision Admission Requirement

This article is designed to help students who wish to study   Agricultural Resource Extension under the Faculty of Agriculturein Federal University of Technology Akure as it is very important for all candidates who wish to apply for any of the courses offered in FUTA to  carefully confirm and see if the course they Selected is offered in the institution before registering for JAMB.

The Federal University of Technology Akure (informally FUT Akure or simply FUTA) was founded in 1981under a drive by the government of Nigeria to create universities that specialised in producing graduates with practical as well as theoretical knowledge of technologies. It is located in Akure, the capital city of Ondo State.

Other universities of technology established around the same time were the Federal University of Technology Owerri, the Federal University of Technology, Abeokuta (FUTAB), which later metamorphosed to the present University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), the Federal University of Technology Minna, the Federal University of Technology Yola, and the Federal University of Technology Bauchi (now Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University).

O’LEVEL SUBJECT COMBINATION

The O’level subject combination and requirements needed to study Agricultural Resource Extension;

You require; Five SSCE credit passes in English, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and one of Physics, Economics, Further Mathematics and Statistics.

JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION

In UTME, please note that English Language is Compulsory for this course. Therefore, the three (3) other JAMB UTME subject combination needed to study Agricultural Resource Extension under the Faculty of Agriculture in the above Universities include;

Chemistry, Biology or Agriculture and Physics or Mathematics

DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT

These are the conditions you need to fulfill to gain Direct Entry admission to study Agricultural Resource Extension, if you don’t intend to use UTME.

You require; Two ’A’ level passes in Chemistry and Biology or Agric Science or Zoology or Botany.

JAMB Score

All candidates interested in getting admitted into FUTA for the 2019/2020 session, should know that to be eligible for the screening, you must have score a minimum of  180 and above in your JAMB result.
